Preparation update

It has been a couple of weeks since my last posting. There is not a lot to share right now. I have started to purchase some of the clothing I think I will need down there. Most of the stuff had to be ordered on-line and I have been lucky so far, everything fits. Still trying to figure out what I am supposed to wear when I am working.

I have been fortunate to be able to talk to the RN that did my job last year and she has been sharing a lot of good information. After my conversations with her I am even more excited to go down there. It will be very different kind of flight nursing down there. She did say that if she was given the opportunity go again she would do it in a heartbeat. I think that is a very good sign.
One advice she gave me was to get a pair of really good waterproof hiking boots, so I visited REI yesterday and got me a pair that hopefully will work out well. Also got a couple of pairs of wool socks (have not worn socks like that since I was a child).

I have also purchased a GoPro Hero 3 for me to use while I am down there. I have been experimenting
on the golf course with mixed results, but I think I have figured it out now. Below is a short video clip from my golf round today, it was Bleu's first round in a very long time. Btw I am the person that is putting.

As I am getting closer I will hopefully have more to share with everybody.
